                                                          Beaux and the2008 Season

Champion Ahmahr Nahr’s Mardi Gras Flambeau Man JC went to Canada to be campaigned by Larry Clark in the year 2007.  Beaux’s the tri-colored son of Siete, referenced in these pages and Dancer.  A very young dog by development, and a dog young by attitude, he had never been away from home, yet he enjoyed his time in Canada.   He represented himself and the kennel proudly.  Beau finished the year with a good showing out west, some showing in the U.S. and internationally, the No. 8 Top Dog Hound in Canada, and the No. 2 Basenji.  He added multiple Best in Show wins, to Multiple Best Puppy in Show wins.  He came to the U.S. and earned his Junior Courser Title in Shawnee, Oklahoma and also did very well in limited summer showing here finished in the top twenty (20) Basenji’s in the AKC for the year 2008.  Additionally he acquitted himself very well overseas.  He won the Sicalam Championship in October of 2008 and the FCI  Las Americas and Caribe Championship in Uruguay in May of 2008 and has completed the requirements for his FCI International title which has been awarded.  He has also completed the requirements for his Sicalam title and it has been awarded.  He has earned championships this year in Uruguay and Peru to add to his previous titles from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Columbia, Guatemala, and Costa Rica.  Beaux was able to earn multiple group placements at the international shows as well.  Beaux has come home to complete work in the coursing field and begin obedience training.  Beaux lives to please, and we believe that he has the opportunity of being the best ever obedience Basenji.

During the 2008 season, Champion (CKC and AKC), Ahmahr Nahr’s Kokopelli Dancer JC, shown by Sergio Espejo, finished in the top 25 dogs in the AKC and earned multiple group placements.  She has also come home to course with Beaux. The puppies acquitted themselves very well;  Ahmahr Nahr’s Sultans Lady championship finish in Florida with Michelle Smith Barbour and Jake puppies, Champion Ahmahr Nahr’s El Diablo, and Champion Ahmahr Nahr’s Babe of the Kalahare finished their Canadian titles and Babe finished her AKC title with majors. Diablo needs only minor wins.

Champion Ahmahr Nahr’s Golden Talisman, “Tally” earned his KC title and earned multiple Best Puppy in Show wins in Canada this last summer.  She is with, Sergio Espejo, working on her AKC title presently.  Tally won the hound specialty “Puppy of the Year” award and the “Best Puppy in Show” award at the Alberta Kennel Club in the fall of 2008.  She is out of Siete and Dancer re-breeding, the litter that produced Madam.

In addition, her brother a tri, Champion Ahmahr Nahr’s Casanova Jack at Whitewater, won both his CKC and AKC championship in straight major wins.  He is co-owned, by Whitewater, Dr. Rosemarie Holt.  We are hoping that Jack, will  begin his specials career in the year 2009.   His brother, Cooper, another knockout tri, is with long time Basenji owner Sam Prednasuth in Arizona, showing very well.  It was hard to choose, between Cooper and Jack, which was the most stunning tri and I suspect the two of them will spend years dukeing it out in the show rings before we ever figure that out.
