In
2008, we have planned several litters or stud service
arrangements.
Jake
and Madam
The litter we've waited for so long - 11 FC World Champions GCh
DC, Ahmahr Nahr's Jake Jamal to Mibre, to World Winner Bitch
Ahmahr Nahr's Call be Madam.
Jake and Madam are shown in their wedding picture on this
page. Madam has her own page. Jake has a page from
2006, as well as figuring heavily in the 2007 and 2008 Season
pages. Read all about their careers. Jake and Madam
have loved each other ever since Maddie was a puppy and we have
waited a long time before they were "wed" because
Madam spent several years in the United States as the Top
Basenji, and a year in Canada showing. She is an FCI and
Sicalam Champion, as well as a Champion in eight (8) other
countries. Madam was shown in Canada by Edgar Rojas and Jr
Handler, Kate.
This litter
produced eight (8) puppies, which is a huge number for a
Basenji litter. Of the eight (8), one died at birth, and
seven (7) are thriving. The seven (7) thriving puppies
include 2 brindle males, 2 brindle females, 2 red/wh males and one
red/wh female. This litter has been a joint production
between Ahmahr Nahr's new co-owner, Sandra Saunders Therrian.
They were born on December 1, 2009. These are truly special
puppies. the parents have been subject to extensive health
testing, as the puppies. This litter produced Fanconi clear
and Fanconi carrier pups, with no affected puppies. They are
HA clear. The parents have been CERF'd and OFA'd

Sultana's Puppies

Mibre's Bump In the Night FC (Bear)
and Ch Ahmahr Nahr's Sultana
This
second litter was born on November 30, and produced six (6)
pups. There is one (1) tri boy, two (2) red/wh girls, two (2)
red/wh girls and one (1) red/wh boy. Michele Smith Barbour,
owner of Bear and Sultana's co-owner is our co-breeder. The
mid-wife was Marti Perez, Sultana's new co-owner.
This
litter will likely look like the tri's and red/wh produced out of a
similar breeding done the
last two (2) years by our related
dogs. They include Jack, who is the Top Twenty dog in the US
this year. Tally who already is an FCI and Sicalam Champion, has
already won many BPIS awards. Both of them are pictured on
this page. Handle is Sergio Espejo. As is Little Cooper, co-owned by
Sam Prednasuth.

These puppies were born on December 13, 2009.
There were six (6) red/wh pups, 3 girls and 2 boys.
The third
breeding done this year is another co-breeding done between Jennie
Behles and Flo Havens. The sire of this litter, was one of
the top Basenji sires of the year in 2008, as recognized by the
American Kennel Club as having produced the largest number of
champion puppies in that year. Tex was an AKC Top Dog Basenji
for several years as well.

and FC Ahmahr Nahr’s Tears of a Giraffe, SC (Precious)
The fourth litter is a litter out of FC Champion Tears of a Giraffe FC,
otherwise known as Precious and her boyfriend. 
Five (5) red/wh pups arrived on December 15, 2009.
On this page we are showing you a picture of
Smooch with Sergio Espejo in Alamogordo last year, as
well as a
picture of Ryder. This will give you some idea of the type of pup we
think will be produced in this litter. In addition, we have a
photo of Precious in the Best in Field wins, and you will see
Precious in the 2007 season, winning the Junior Championship.
Precious was Junior World Champion in 2007, unfortunately
suffered an accident during that year’s breeding season in which a
nick was taken out of her ear.
Precious decided she would take up coursing, including the
Top Rank Coursing Dog, and is one of the few female basenji’s who
is a multiple best in field Top Twenty dog for two (2) years.
It is possible that there may be one or more breedings this year late - and that if we are lucky, we will once again breed Ch

This
breeding has produced some incredible dogs including Smooch,
(pictured above) Evander,
and Denne Crane. Evander recently won his class at the Phoenix
Basenji Fancier's Specialty BPIS winning dog, and Best In Show on
the Canadian 2009 circuits. Denne Crane went winners dog at the
same specialty and Tex won Veterans sweeps.
Reservations are now being taken for puppies. It is generally
our practice to grade puppies at approximately six (6) weeks for
quality. We also give them any necessary medical testing that

All our
Puppies receive Microchip Identification.
Breeding a
Good Dog is part Science and part Art.
