Puppy Prospects

Jack - Precious Litter

I bred a bitch DC Ahrmahr Nahr’s Tears of the GiraffeSC to GCH Ahmahr Nahr’s Cassanova Jack at Whitlewater Oct 15th. Jack has been no 1 Basenji in the US most of this year and in the top 5 all  year, He is a  the Top Dog in Breed and Group wins ; top 5 last year, winner of the Dallas –Ft Worth Specialty  and a multiple PBIS winner in Canada. He is titled in US, Canada, Puerto Rico and he is a G Ch there  FCI( recognized internationally) and Sicalam (recognized Latin American) and Pan Am. He was this years Pan Am overall winner.  He is the second US Gr. Champion – missed being first by 1 day.  The bitch whose call name is Precious  is a Junior World Champion from 2007 and has previously produced litter with all champion get. She is a courser as well.   She stopped showing after World as one of my boys took a piece out of her ear  when he” mistakenly “ tried to breed her in 2007. Precious and Jack appear with their accomplishments to Dec ’09 on my web site. Jack is the son of Siete and Dancer- she is a world Ch Bitch 2004  and  he is one of the few  Basenjis to ever hold the VB title- He has been top  Ch. producing sire the last 3 years nationally. Precious is titled is US, Canada, Mexico, FCI, Sicalam,  This litter will produce tries and red/wh- Precious has on line photos on my site. She is a lovely red/wh. who is tri factored which produces a dark red coat, the dark eye and mascara.  Her kids have lovely heads which comes from Siete- probably the best head ever on a tri- Siete's dad was National Ch years ago and a  Siete grandson was last year Canadian National winner.  I co- own this litter with the lady I co- own Precious with and  no doubt this will be about 50-50- I am guessing 5-6 pups  here. This litter will be born about  Nov 22, 2010. We generally like to give them 6-8 weeks with the litter to get adjusted. I will not sell a puppy any earlier and really prefer to hold to 12 weeks, if I can, for further socialization and all shots- we have dew claws done, microchipped and all shots, wormed, etc.

Sonic - Madam Litter

Another co-owner and I are breeding another red/wh –tri breeding .  Ch Ahmahr Nahr's Just Call me Madam JC- she was a Top Dog here 3 years and a Top dog in Canada- She has been a Eukanuba qualifier from both the US and now Canada. She was world Ch bitch in 2007. She is titled as these others are  and also in Columbia, Guatemala, Peru, Argentina. The boy is owned by a former BCOA President , Sally Louanos of Sondar Basenji, and won the Wisconsin Regional Specialty this year. Ch Sonbar’s Super Sonic Shock Wave- ,called Sonic

Jake - Tally Litter

My husband and I have bred a litter from G Ch Ahmahr Nahr’s Jake Jamul to Mibre SC, CGN and Ch Ahmahr Nahr’s Golden Talisman that we expect  about Nov 11. Jake is a red/brindle and Tally is a red /wh. Jake and Tally both appear on the web page. Jake is the all time Basenji BIS winner, world champion, holder of too many  regional and international titles to count and winner of the national Lure Coursing finals in the US. He is now working in obedience successfully as he nears age 7- one of the few Basenjis to ever do so- At a veteran age he won the Field Ch award at this year ‘s National and made it g to the last round of Ch at the National again. He has so many BIS,  numerous specialties and is a Eukanuba winner and has qualified Eukanuba  for the last 6 years- including this year again as a foreign qualifier on his Canadian wins. Tally is titled pretty much as is Precious- she is just 2- She has her coursing qualifications and will course after this litter and probably go back to the show ring as a special. . She was a winner at this years nationals.  She and Jake appear on the website. She has not had a  final OFA hip but was a good on the prelim.   The Jake- Tally litter will produce red and a few red/brindles- generally more reds than brindles. Hence there would be a pup to fit what you want .  A proper Basenji has dark eyes- though some variance with coat color and with age and mascara.

Siete - Jabba Litter

Siete (MBIS, MBIF, D. Am. Can. Ch. Astarte's Sultan
Siete with Pups SC) was bred to Jabba. (Ch Mibre's Bump in the Night
JC) She's a black white girl from Florida who has produced a national
class. They had puppies on 19 October in Florida. .There are two
black/ white girls and two tri's, one of which is a boy. She is an AKC
champion. Siete of course has lots of Congressman's and is on the
website He is the father of Jack and has been top Stud Dog for the last
two years.

All of these above breeding are either fanconi clear or a carrier/clear breeding which will produce no  genetically tested affected. All have OFA hips, CER’d eyes and HA tests. Tally has only a prelim OFA as she was bred before I could do the final- but she was a good on the prelim- she came into season a little early when Michelle's girl was here- .

These pups are intended to be top show and performance pups-  though there is always a pup or two who is  less worthy than others. Quite frankly I have not had a pup in the last 5 years that the owner could not have put a Ch title on here in the US had they wanted to and all who have – have done so. I am at the place in my breeding life where I am breeding to breed my own show and performance specials- dogs to win groups, BIS etc.. A little pup I bred this year has already won two Hound Specialties by 8 months of age and won her age group at the nationals here. She finished her US title in 4 straight majors. He two showing litter brothers have done the same- all from the 6-9 month pup class.

I however do not require that you show.  My price reflects my heath testing, the way I raise the pups, etc- Generally, they are priced out between $1500 and $1800 with shipping though this may vary a bit when we see what shipping is at the time. The one litter- the Madam litter is bred here in US, but will be whelped by my co-owner in Ottawa and I  normally go pick my pups and bring them with me to the States and raise them from about 5 weeks. This makes them a little more expensive due to transport cost but also they are easily dual registered in both US and Canada- in fact come with the Canadian reg.  and can compete with a proven show parentage in both countries, which many folks like.

Generally what I like to do is a deposit contract with a deposit and then we hold and match a pup to your needs.
